Raised on a small farm in northwestern Minnesota, a picturesque oak savanna region homesteaded by pioneering  ancestors.  At university majored in history, developed and taught the Life and Times of Henry VIII during senior year.  Entered officer training, commissioned a Second Lieutenant, United States Marine Corps.  Posted to the Fleet Marine Force, served on allied cross-training assignments and in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, the First Gulf War.  Independently produced
